Pipe banding started started for Bill when he joined the Prince George’s Police Pipe Band in 2003. He left PG Police to participate in the MacMillan-Birtles start-up in 2004. In 2008 Bill left MacMilan-Birtles to play guitar in a Black Sabbath tribute band. In 2020 he realized he missed pipe banding and attended two Dunn practices before Covid sent everyone home. Back at it at last, Bill enjoys the practices as much as anything else – the instruction and camaraderie make it a great part of his weekly routine.
