At the age of nine Christopher began playing Saxophone, and at thirteen was introduced to the bagpipes. Charles Henry came to Ridgely Middle School and offered to teach any student interested in taking up the pipes. Eight months later, Christopher was on his first set of pipes and began playing with Loch Raven Pipe Band. In 2014 the band dissolved and in 2015 was introduced to the Macmillan Organization. Starting with MacMillan-Birtles grade 4 pipe band, two years later was asked to shadow then play as a member of MacMillan’s grade 2 band. Christopher graduated from U.M.B.C with a B.A. in Music Performance with a Jazz Emphasis. He looks forward to continuing his journey to find his best musicianship and exemplify the standard of excellence that is MacMillan United Pipe Bands.
